Yorkshire firm Gordons Cranswick has bolstered its management team with a series of appointments.
David Gale has become director of finance and strategy, while Stephen Fleming has been hired as director of technology and Tim Hill has joined as the firm's marketing manager. The appointments add a professional gloss to Gordon Cranswick's plans for growth. Partner Paul Ayre said: "The idea is that it sets us up to move forward. "David has a lot of experience in the commercial and legal world. We would hope to draw upon this experience." Fleming has 10 years of experience in the IT industry. He has worked at a healthcare consultancy company and the professional service sector. He has also specialised in call centre and e-commerce systems. Under his direction, video conferencing facilities have been set up in the firm's three offices. He has also undertaken an assessment of the website to explore the potential for developing e-commerce initiatives. Hill has moved to Gordons Cranswick from Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream. Ayre said: "Tim has come from a commercial background. We're hoping that he will bring a different angle to our marketing." All three have been recruited to realise the firm's strategies for further development. Ayre said that although the new recruits would not directly be involved in creating strategy, they were fundamental to its implementation.
