Goodyear Dunlop Tyres has appointed Dominque Golsong as its European legal chief.
Golsong, the former associate general counsel of Dow Corning Corporation, the silicones and silicones-based products, technologies and services company, joined the US tyre giant last month as legal counsel.
He replaced Philip Regnault, who retired after three years with Goodyear Dunlop.
In his new position, Golsong is responsible for Goodyear Dunlop's EU strategic business unit as well as the Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa strategic business unit.
It remains unclear what impact, if any, Golsong's appointment will have on Goodyear Dunlop's relationships with external legal advisers. It is understood that the company has relationships with a number of firms, including US firms Covington & Burling and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.
Prior to Dow Corning, Golsong was a corporate lawyer in Linklaters' Brussels office, after which he joined New York-based firm Sullivan & Cromwell.
