This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Spanish firm Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has absorbed the Madrid office of Mullerat, led by M&A partner Alberto Echarri.
Echarri will move to Gómez-Acebo, along with his 15 lawyer team, at the beginning of July.
“This will enable us to reinforce and extend the offer of services we provide to our clients,” Echarri said in a statement. “Moreover, I wanted to be sure of offering my team a project in which they can develop their professional potential to the maximum.”
Barcelona-based Mullerat also has offices in Palma de Mallorca, San Sebastián and Lisbon. It is understood that these offices will not be joining Gómez-Acebo.
May has been difficult for Mullerat, founded by of one of Spain’s most respected lawyers, Ramon Mullerat. Employment partner Sonia Cortes left for Cuatrecasas last week and a 10-lawyer team, including corporate partner Jorge Adell and IP partner Carlos Prat, left to join Baker & McKenzie the week before that.
Echarri joined Mullerat in 2001, when his firm Echarri & Brindle merged with Mullerat.
