Goldman Sachs GC scoops London Olympics job

The international general counsel of Goldman Sachs Terry Miller is joining the London 2012 Organising Committe for the Olympic Games as its new general counsel.

Miller, who is in charge of Goldman’s legal team for Europe and Asia, will take up her role in October.

She takes over from Charlie Wijeratna, who becomes director of commercial negotiations, reporting to commercial director Chris Townsend, who joined the London 2012 team from Transport for London.

Miller takes charge of a team of eight lawyers and will be responsible for putting the legal infrastructure in place for the Olympics.
