Spanish firm Gómez-Acebo & Pombo Abogados has posted a 12 per cent jump in turnover to hit e61.1m (£54.83m).
The firm has grown strongly since undertaking a strategic review of its business with consultants Accenture in 2007. It broke the ;e50m ;(£44.87m) turnover barrier for the first time in 2008, growing by 15 per cent to hit e54.6m (£48.99m).
Manuel Martín, managing partner at Gómez-Acebo, said: “It’s been a hard year, affected by an adverse economic situation, and these figures are the result of hard work.”
Gómez-Acebo has also merged with three-partner corporate and tax boutique Padrol Munté. The firm will add e4.1m (£3.68m) of turnover to Gómez-Acebo’s bottom line.
The move will see the creation of a tax practice in Barcelona and a 12-lawyer boost to the office. In Madrid ;Gómez-Acebo has grown by 10 lawyers following the merger.
Heribert Padrol Munté and ;Enrique ;Ortega Carballo join Gómez-Acebo as partners in Madrid, while Gema Blasco Martínez joins as a partner in Barcelona.
The firm now boasts 251 associates, 46 partners, six economists and more than 130 support staff.
