Gide snares A&O and Hogan Lovells high-flyers to boost Moscow office

Gide Loyrette Nouel has expanded its Moscow office by hiring an associate from Allen & Overy (A&O) and one from Hogan Lovells, and installing them as partners.

Boris Arkhipov, a senior associate at Hogan Lovells in Moscow, will head Gide’s corporate and M&A practice in Russia.

At Hogan Lovells, Arkhipov worked under corporate partner Suren Gortsunyan, who left for Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld along with fellow partner Ilya Rybalkin earlier this year.

Arkhipov will work closely with Gide’s Russia banking team and it is hoped his arrival will help the firm win and develop more Russian clients.

Allen & Overy senior associate Alexander Dolgov, meanwhile, will head Gide’s PPP and capital markets practices. He will replace partner Olga Revzina, who left for Herbert Smith in July.

Another A&O associate, Sergey Logunov, will follow Dolgov to Gide and remain an associate, while Gide’s head of Moscow, David Lasfargue, says another lateral hire is in the pipeline.

In Russia, Gide also has an office in St Petersburg.
