The Lawyer Global Litigation Top 50 report is the only ranking of international law firms by litigation and arbitration revenue and is essential reading for anyone seeking to benchmark their litigation and dispute resolution practices...
This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
French international Gide Loyrette Nouel has posted a revenue rise of 15 per cent for 2004.
The firm is also further strengthening its London finance capability with the hire of a tax partner from Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft.
Anthony Davis becomes Gide’s seventh London partner and the first to specialise in tax work. His career has spanned partnerships at Lovells and accountants Ernst & Young as well as Cadwalader. He has also been a senior policy adviser for the Inland Revenue.
The firm saw global turnover grow from Euro142m in 2003 to Euro163.3m last year, pushing income above the Euro160m mark for the first time.
The results come after a year of continued international expansion, as Gide opened an office in Serbia and Montenegro and moved into new 12,000 sq ft premises in London.
Gide now carries out 40 per cent of its activities outside France and has particular strength in finance work.
