Gide Loyrette Nouel is responding to increased activity in China by flying its Turkish managing partner out to Beijing.
Guillaume Rougier-Brierre will relocate to Beijing in August and will be replaced by IP partner Remy Fekete.
Rougier-Brierre will help develop Gide's Chinese M&A offering as it works with the firm's international corporate team. He becomes Gide's third partner in Beijing, joining Stéphane Vernay and Lan Yan, who co-manage the office. The firm has 70 lawyers and staff in Beijing as well as an additional 40 in Shanghai.
Meanwhile, Fekete will move to Istanbul in July to continue the development of that office, which has been open since 1997. Rougier-Brierre has run Gide's Turkish operation for the past six years.
