Gide names new managing and senior partners as part of top-level revamp

The management changes take effect on 1 January. Litigation partner Baudouin de Moucheron is taking over as senior partner from Pierre Raoul-Duval. De Moucheron previously sat on the firm’s executive committee between 2003 and 2005. Currently based in Paris, de Moucheron founded and managed Gide’s Istanbul office between 1997 and 2000.

Christophe Eck remains on the firm’s executive committee, but will be replaced as managing partner by Stéphane Puel. Puel has been a member of the executive committee since 2009 and was made up to partner level in 2006.

Eck, who has served as managing partner since January 2010, said he wanted to have more time on client matters.

Eck will be joined on the executive committee by Moscow managing partner David Lasfargue - the only committee member based outside Paris - and Frédéric Nouel.

De Moucheron and Puel said they would continue their predecessors’ efforts to continue Gide’s internationalisation.

Gide has had a tough two years, recording a turnover drop of 5 per cent between 2009 and 2010 (1 July 2011) and closing several international offices late last year.
