Gibson Dunn & Crutcher’s Brussels office has beefed up its antitrust practice with the hire of a Mayer Brown partner.
Andrés Font Galarza will join Gibson Dunn’s antitrust and competition practice after spending two years with Mayer Brown in Brussels office.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown he spent 13 years in the European Commission’s Directorate General for Competition, including three years as deputy head of the unit enforcing EC Competition law for consumer goods and foodstuffs.
“Andrés is extremely well known and highly regarded in the Brussels antitrust world,” said Gibson Dunn Brussels office managing partner David Wood. “He brings us additional capability, particularly in the merger and distribution fields and complements our strengths in high-tech sectors.”
Gibson Dunn established its Brussels office in 2003.
