Gibson Dunn & Crutcher has hired securities litigator George Brown from Heller Ehrman as a partner in its Palo Alto office.
Brown focuses primarily on complex securities litigation, accountants’ liability and corporate governance and regularly represents accounting firms in a variety of disputes proceedings and regulatory settings.
“George will bring needed capacity to the firm and particularly to the Bay Area securities litigation practice,” said Russell Hansen, partner-in-charge of Gibson Dunn’s Palo Alto office.
Brown joined Heller Ehrman in 1987, having previously practiced with O’Melveny & Myers in Los Angeles. He was also previously a law professor at UCLA School of Law, where he taught contracts, business associations, and securities regulation courses and was a licensed certified public accountant.
