Gibson Dunn makes push in Brussels

Gibson Dunn & Crutcher has expanded its embryonic Brussels presence taking on Howrey Simon Arnold & White partner David Wood and Crowell & Moring partner James Ashe-Taylor.

The firm opened its Brussels practice a year ago when Squire Sanders & Dempsey partner Peter Alexiadis defected with a small team.

Ashe-Taylor will split his time between London and Brussels, while Wood, a former head of DG Competition’s Media and Fincial Services unit will be Brussels-based.

Howrey’s Brussels managing partner Trevor Soames said: "we wish David all the best."
