American firm Gibson Dunn & Crutcher is launching a training contract programme and vacation scheme in its London office.
The firm is currently accepting training contract applications, with the first cohort due to start in 2015. The first vacation scheme participants will begin their stints in summer 2013 and will be able to apply from 1 November this year.
London corporate partner Jeff Roberts will be the training partner for the London office while former Gibson Dunn associate Barbara Davidson will be graduate recruitment and development manager.
Roberts said: “Our programme will be small and very selective. This will ensure that each individual trainee will benefit from personal mentoring in a nurturing and collegiate environment and have opportunities to take a high level of responsibility from day one.”
The London office, which was founded more than 30 years ago, focuses on corporate work and dispute resolution.
More information about the trainee programme and vacation scheme can be found on the firm’s website.
The news comes after a number of other US firms launched training contract schemes in their London offices (24 February 2012).
