Leading Italian firm Gianni Origoni Grippo & Partners has signed an alliance with tax boutique Vitali Romagnoli Piccardi e Associati, the former ally of Clifford Chance.
The deal will be signed after the association between Vitali Romagnoli, regarded as one of Italy’s leading tax boutiques, and Clifford Chance ends this month, as first reported by The Lawyer (April 26).
Clifford Chance has signed a new agreement with another of Italy’s elite tax boutiques, Maisto e Associati.
Gianni Origoni already has some in-house tax capability, the tie-up will significantly bolster the practice.
Francesco Gianni, partner at Gianni Origoni, said: “The agreement falls within our strategy to develop and broaden the services we offer our clients,”
The firms will remain independent. Though some sources suggest the alliance may be a precursor to a merger further down the track.
