Linklaters' Italian best friend Gianni Origoni Grippo & Partners has made its second high-profile hire from the Italian Antitrust Authority (IAA)
As first revealed on www.thelawyer.com/lawyer news, Piero Fattori, the former head of legal at the IAA, is to join the firm's antitrust and regulatory department. He will officially become a partner following the firm's annual vote on new partners at the end of the year. Fattori follows the former secretary-general of the IAA Alberto Pera, who joined Gianni Origoni last year. Fattori has been the IAA's head of legal since 1995. Prior to that, he spent four years at Consob, the Italian securities market regulator. Gianni Origoni managing partner Francesco Gianni said: "The arrival of Piero further strengthens our antitrust department, which had already acquired great potential last year when we were joined by Alberto Pera. "Today's announcement is another step forward in our ongoing commitment to provide top-level services to our clients."
