German firm Görg is strengthening its new Hamburg office with a team of three partners and two associates from White & Case.
The firm is launching in Hamburg in January (24 September 2012) and has announced that White & Case partners Frank Evers, Kersten Wagner-Cardenal and Jan Peter Scharf, along with senior associates John-Patrick Bischoff and Jan-Michael Dierkes will bolster the new office.
Evers is a corporate lawyer with a client base including Germany’s mid-tier Mittelstand companies and international businesses. Wagner-Cardenel and Scharf both advise on public and regulatory law across a variety of areas.
The White & Case team will join a group of insolvency lawyers hired from Brinkmann & Partner earlier in the year. In a statement they said that there were several areas of work in common and they were looking forward to the challenge of “establishing a new powerhouse” in the Hamburg market.
