German firm Graf von Westphalen has appointed a new dual management team to succeed Freiburg partner Barbara Mayer and Hamburg partner Carsten Bittner.
Frankfurt employment partner Christof Kleinmann and Hamburg construction and real-estate partner Robert Theissen were elected at a partner meeting last week. Former co-managing partner Mayer had been in the role for eight years.
Kleinmann and Theissen told German legal magazine Juve that one of their priorities was to integrate further Graf von Westphalen’s offices, of which there are seven in Germany as well as outposts in Brussels, Alicante and Shanghai.
Graf von Westphalen also has a foot in the UK market through its alliance with Wragge & Co. In 2007 the best-friend firms opened offices in Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
