GE Commercial Finance has named Lorna Curry to replace Kevin Dunn as the new general council for European corporate finance.
Curry takes over from Dunn, who was promoted to European head of leveraged finance. In her new role, Curry will oversee all European legal matters for the unit, which is made up of almost 2000 employees and provides capital to European businesses of all sizes.
She was previously general counsel for the company’s European leveraged finance business - a role which will now be handed to Sarah Brufal.
Curry will be keen to continue the unit’s success, with close to £11bn worth of transactions having been funded since its establishment in 1994.
Brufal, who will oversee the legal matters on buyouts, acquisitions, growth funding and recapitalisaions, moves into the position from GE Commercial Finance’s European leveraged finance and capital markets business.
GE Commercial Finance has clients in more than 35 counties serving in industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, fleet management, communications and construction.
