GE fills European GC role with internal promotion

Infrastructure and finance company GE has promoted Marianna Nitsch to the role of European general counsel for its Global Growth & Operations (GG&O) division.

Nitsch was previously French and European general counsel for GE Capital Real Estate, having joined GE in 2007 from an in-house role at Biogen. She has also worked in private practice at Shearman & Sterling, Gide Loyrette Nouel and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
In her new role Nitsch will be responsible for the GG&O legal and compliance strategy, corporate governance and regulatory issues.
She replaces Hendrik Bourgeois as GG&O’s European general counsel. Bourgeois was recently promoted to the role of vice-president for European affairs at GE.
