GE Commercial Finance has named Lorna Curry as the replacement for Kevin Dunn, the general counsel for European corporate finance. Dunn has been promoted to European head of leveraged finance.
In her new role, Curry will oversee all European legal matters for the unit, which is made up of almost 2,000 employees and provides capital to European businesses of all sizes.
She was previously general counsel for the company's European leveraged finance business - a role that will now be handed to Sarah Brufal.
Curry will be keen to continue the unit's success, with close to £11bn worth of transactions having been funded since its establishment in 1994.
Brufal, who will oversee the legal matters on buyouts, acquisitions, growth funding and recapitalisations, moves from her role as senior counsel for GE Commercial Finance's European leveraged finance and capital markets business.
GE Commercial Finance has clients in more than 35 countries serving in industries, such as healthcare, manufacturing, fleet management, communications and construction.
