Hong Kong-based Slaughter and May corporate partner Richard Jones has been poached by GE Consumer Finance for it’s in-house legal department.
Jones, a local partner in Slaughters’ Hong Kong office for the past four years, is expected to join GE on 1 January 2006 as its general counsel for Asia. The move is a rare partner departure from Slaughters.
