Global Switch, the facilities management provider, is planning to launch a mid-year legal panel review following the appointment of a new group legal chief and general counsel.
Solomon Osagie was headhunted to join the data centre provider last December from Interoute Communications, where he was a senior counsel.
He said: "The biggest challenge for me is joining at a time when the company is going through a restructuring phase, but at the same time I've been given the autonomy to carry out my own review of the structural processes."
Reducing the legal spend is high on his list of priorities. This includes expanding the in-house capabilities and carrying out a mid-year review of its external panel.
Currently the company uses Wragge & Co for general issues, while Ashurst is the go-to firm for finance and tax advice.
