Spanish giant Garrigues has broken through the €200m barrier this year, reaching a turnover of €223m.
Revenues are up €29.5m on last year’s figure of €193m, representing a 15 per cent rise. The figures were confirmed at the annual partnership meeting in Madrid, where the firm also unveiled 20 new partners, boosting partner numbers to 208.
The corporate department received the biggest boost, making up six new partners. There are also five new tax partners and three in employment.
Garrigues is Spain’s largest firm, employing more than 2000 people. This summer the partners unanimously re-elected managing partners José María Alonso Puig and Miguel Gordillo Moro to serve another four-year term.
The strong financial performance is likely to lead to national growth. The partners recently gave the green light to a new office in Almeria, which would be the firm’s fourth in Andalucia. and 25th in Spain.
