Garretts sets up office in Birmingham

Garrett & Co's growth continues with confirmation of its move into Birmingham.

Managing partner Julia Chain says: “We have Midlands-based clients and it makes sense to serve them locally with local resources.”

The announcement that the Arthur Andersen-associated firm is recruiting in the area follows its decision to open an office in Manchester.

Chain denies reports that the firm has found it difficult to recruit talent in the north west. She says the response has been “very good”, but there is no news yet on when the new office will open, or how big it will be.

Garretts does not rule out other developments but the rapid growth may now be tailing off.

“I doubt we would be expanding much more in the foreseeable future,” says Chain.
