Andersen Legal's UK firm Garretts will close for business at the end of this month
A spokesperson for Andersen Legal said: "We're engaged in consultations with our staff as part of our obligations over transfers of undertakings or potential redundancies. The anticipated date [of dissolution] is 31 May, but that's still subject to final confirmation." Last week partners and staff from Birmingham and Manchester were taken on by Pinsent Curtis Biddle and Beachcroft Wansbroughs. Groups of lawyers at Garretts' City office are in talks with Bird & Bird, Dundas & Wilson and Taylor Joynson Garrett. But it is expected that many Garretts staff will still be unplaced when the firm is dissolved at the end of May.
