Galliford Try unveils five-firm legal panel
Leading construction group Galliford Try has appointed five UK firms to a new legal panel set up to advise on its homebuilding operations.

The panel has been created to provide advice to the company’s homebuilding and affordable housing and regeneration divisions, as well as the group’s UK-based subsidiaries. The homebuilding division operates via five regional brands: Linden Homes, Linden London Developments, Stamford Homes, Midas Homes and Gerald Wood Homes.
The panel firms are Davies Arnold Cooper, Osborne Clark, Pinsent Masons, Shoosmiths and Trowers & Hamlins.
Shoosmiths relationship partner and head of residential development Steve Wiltshire said: “This is a significant panel appointment, as it strengthens our existing links with Galliford Try, which has proved itself a robust and healthy business in a choppy economy.”
Trowers relationship partner Joseph Acton added: “While we’ve worked closely with the group in the past, particularly on joint ventures and affordable housing projects, this panel appointment gives us the opportunity to provide a much fuller range of services.”
The review was held by Richard Tuffin, head of legal at Galliford Try, which has revenues of £1.8bn. The appointments take effect from 1 January 2011.
