Canterbury-headquartered Furley Page has expanded with a new office in the Thames Gateway area.
The expansion follows a 5 per cent rise in revenue to £7m in its first year as an LLP.
The firm's senior partner Peter Hawkes signed the lease on its new 3,000sq ft premises at Chatham last monday (21 May).
The office will launch with a mix of commercial skills, including property and corporate, and the firm's volume debt and insolvency team will relocate to Chatham.
Hawkes said the move was an attempt to expand Furley Page's client base outside its Canterbury heartland.
"The next 10 years will see significant expansion in Kent, particularly along the Thames Gateway corridor," said Hawkes. "Canterbury doesn't provide a credible base for us to tap into that, and clients like to see you committed to the area you serve."
Hawkes added that the firm's financial performance was "reasonable".
