The Inns of Court School of Law's (ICSL) Legal Practice Course (LPC) has been upgraded from a 'good' to a 'very good' by a team of Law Society assessors
Paul Aber, director of the LPC at the ICSL, said that the mark was a "significant achievement" for the one-year course, which opened just 15 months ago. He added: "What's most important to us is that our students have been properly trained for practice. We've always been confident that this course would provide what trainees actually needed and it seems as though we're getting it right." The ICSL merged with City University's department of law last August to create the Institute of Law, which claims to be a "one-stop shop" for legal education at every stage. Professor Martin Dockray, director of the new institute, said the result was "simply splendid". He added: "It is a great tribute to the dedicated course team."
