The Financial Services Lawyers’ Association (FSLA) is running an essay competition which will see the winner walk away with £1,000 in prize money.
The successful candidate will also receive a six-week internship at the FSA including two weeks with the Regulatory Decisions Committee, two weeks with the Enforcement Division and two weeks with the General Counsel’s Division.
The second prize is £500 while the third prize is £250.
Entrants will have to write 1,500 words on the question “The financial services industry is competitive enough. The Regulator does not need a duty to promote competition” and submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org with “Essay Competition 2012” in the subject line by 20 February 2012.
The competition will be judged by: Upper Tribunal judge Tim Herrington, Mr Justice Blair and Professor Eva Lomnicka of Kings College London.
