Fried Frank is set to launch an equity capital markets (ECM) practice in Germany with the hire of a partner from Allen & Overy’s Frankfurt office.
Michael Schlitt, A&O’s head of equity capital markets in Germany, has resigned to join Fried Frank’s fledgling corporate business, according to German magazine Juve.
The move comes just weeks after Allen & Overy’s management shake-up in Germany, which saw Hamburg corporate partner Cornelius Fischer-Zernin replace Frankfurt banking partner Neil Weiand as senior partner.
Schlitt will join M&A partners Juergen van Kann and Sven Schulte-Hillen at Fried Frank, which opened for business in Germany in 2004.
