Fried Frank bolsters City finance practice with A&O hire

Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson has hired former Allen & Overy leveraged finance partner Mark Wesseldine to bulk up its practice in the City.
Wesseldine joins Fried Frank’s two London-based finance partners Rob McBride and Sian Withey.
Fried Frank chairman Valerie Ford Jacob said: “Mark brings his experience and expertise to a strong team who has been working on some of the most innovative and prominent transaction in the market.”
Wesseldine’s move comes after the firm has suffered a number of defections from its European network in recent months.
Earlier this year The Lawyer reported on French firm De Pardieu Brocas Maffei raiding Fried Frank’s Paris office for a seven-lawyer team that included partners Barbara Levt and Patrick Jais (20 January 2009).
