Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer Middle East corporate chief Bruce Embley is returning to London in May, with regional co-head of corporate David Higgins taking charge of the group.
Embley has been based in Dubai for three years. He will become the coordinating partner for the Middle East in London. Freshfields has been expanding its Gulf practice over the past year by relocating UK partners to the region. Higgins was flown to Dubai last November to head the corporate practice.
In June 2008 finance partner Charles July and corporate partner Ian Poynton also moved to Dubai.
