Lawyer 2B and BPP Law School have teamed up to launch another essay competition. Now in its fifth year, the competition offers free places on BPPs LPC and GDL courses for two lucky winners.
BPP dean Peter Crisp said: Lawyers are the wordsmiths of the professions and the ability to communicate coherently with clients and colleagues should not be underestimated. Entering this competition gives aspiring lawyers the opportunity to demonstrate their written and oral skills, which lie at the heart of what a lawyer does.
The winners of the 2007-08 competition were Naila Gul and Sioban Taylor. Gul, who won the GDL prize, graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology, while Taylor, the LPC winner, completed an MA in Medical Law at the University of Manchester.
Taylor said: Winning the BPP/Lawyer 2B competition has taken away the financial worry of going on to complete the LPC. I really enjoyed the selection process as it provided an insight into commercial law, which I hadnt considered before.
