Francis Taylor Building (FTB), formerly 2 Harcourt Buildings, has bagged 4-5 Gray's Inn Square's Richard Humphreys QC.
Humphreys, who was called to the bar in 1986 and took silk in 2006, specialises in all FTB's core areas - planning, environment, local government and public law.
Robin Purchas QC said that bringing Humphreys into the fold will strengthen the set's offering to clients.
Purchas said: "Adding Richard's outstanding ability to the existing talent in Chambers reinforces our reputation as the leading planning, environmental, local government and licensing set, as well as bolstering our already significant public law practice."
Humphreys' hire is the first significant appointment for FTB since it completed its move to a new purpose built premises from 2 Harcourt Buildings.
