France’s MBL Avocats turns to Watson Farley for Paris hire

French independent MBL Avocats has hired a partner and two associates from the Paris office of Watson Farley & Williams.

Partner Bertrand Dumon rejoins former colleagues from legacy Dewey & LeBoeuf firm, LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae, who set up MBL in 2006.

Dumon joins MBL’s corporate department as the firm’s 10th partner. His departure leaves Watson Farley with five partners in Paris.

Before joining Watson Farley in 2006 Dumon worked alongside a number of the founding partners of MBL at LeBoeuf, where they were all associates. Other MBL partners have joined the firm since its foundation, mainly from French independents including Ginestié Magellan Paley Vincent, August & Debouzy and Gide Loyrette Nouel.
