French business law firm Foucaud Tchekhoff Pochet et Associés (FTPA)has launched a tax department following the arrival of a former Sullivan & Cromwell partner.
Nicolas Message will manage the new department, having started his career at Sullivan and later joining Ginestié Magellan Paley-Vincent as a partner.
His experience includes advice to multinational groups and banks on matters concerning stock market operations, M&A tax and structured finance.
Prior to establishing the tax department, FTPA relied on its network of specialised firms to handle its clients’ tax matters. The new department will cater for contentious and non-contentious tax work.
“The firm’s highly international dimension and the quality of its corporate teams encourages a strong sense of teamwork between this new department and the other departments within the firm,” said Message in a statement.
