Premier product liability and construction set 1 Paper Buildings has signed up four new tenants.
The set has now recruited eight new barristers since February, bringing the total number of tenants to 36.
Dr Evelyn Pollock, a specialist clinical negligence practitioner, joins the existing 11 strong team from Jeremy Gompertz QC's 5 Essex Court.
The highly rated construction team, led by John Slater QC who in June relinquished the headship of the set to Michael Spencer QC, has been joined by Ian Wright.
Wright, a senior junior formerly of 3 Serjeants' Inn, the chambers of Philip Naughton QC, is the third recent addition to the construction department.
In March, Kim Franklin and Sue Lindsey both joined from Lamb Chambers. The construction department now numbers 14.
Former pupils Jack Ferro and Julian Horne will also join the set as tenants on 1 October.
The past year has seen the set undergoing a process of re-evaluation as it attempts to transform its identity from a general common law and commercial set to one with clearly defined specialist practice areas.
David Platt, responsible for recruitment at the chambers, says: "The aim is to corner the market, where we have market lead product liability."
Platt says he hopes expansion will continue in all of the set's main practice areas, which include product liability, construction, professional and clinical negligence and personal injury.
