Four make partner at DWF

DWF has promoted four to the partnership in its Manchester office, bringing the total number of partners at the firm to 128.

This is a fall in promotions from last year, when the firm made up six. See story.

The promotions are in the real estate, litigation and employment departments. Last year the firm promoted in all of these departments, but also made up two in corporate and one in private client.

This year Paul Barge was made up in the construction team, Paul Gidman in real estate, Ritchie Irvine in finance litigation and Joanne Pearce in employment.

Out of the four, one lawyer - Gidman - joined the firm as a trainee nine years ago. The most recent of the quartet to come on board was Barge, who joined from DLA Piper in April 2007.
