Fountain Court raids 11KBW in rare QC move

Fountain Court has poached commercial silk Charles Béar QC from 11 King’s
Bench Walk in a rare QC hire.

Béar was called to the Bar in 1986 and took silk in 2003. He specializes in
commercial, employment and administrative law disputes.

Michael Brindle QC, joint head of Chambers at Fountain Court, said: “We are
very pleased that Charles is joining us. We believe that his practice and
ours will make an excellent fit.”

The hire brings the number of silks at Fountain Court to 20. The set gained two new QCs in this year’s silks list, when Craig Orr and Patricia Robertson gained silk.

Fountain Court has 60 tenants in total and last year brought in revenues of £28m.
