Fountain Court QC joins buddy at Cloisters

Employment set Cloisters has raided Fountain Court for its star silk Brian Napier QC.

Napier’s reasons for leaving Fountain Court to join Cloisters as a tenant include his close working and personal relationship with Cloisters head of chambers Robin Allen QC.

The pair worked closely on several occasions, including the Lords case Archibald v Fife (2004), which led to the Disability Rights Commission winning The Lawyer’s Employment Law Team of the Year Award.

Allen ;said: ;”Brian’s on almost all the leading Scottish employment cases, and indeed has been in 30 or so leading cases reported in the Industrial Relations Law Reports from 2000 on.”

Napier, who took silk in Scotland in 2002, is the latest addition to Cloisters’ fast-growing employment team, which in the past six months has taken on four other barristers, including Sally Cowen from Farrar’s Building.
