Founder of KLegal's Polish firm leaves

Maciej Zielinski is joining the German firm with a team of six lawyers from various firms in Poland, including KLegal.
Zielinski was hired by former CMS Cameron McKenna Central and Eastern Europe head Robert Windmill, who now runs Haarmanns' offices in the region. Zielinski is tasked with building up an international client base and the members of the six-lawyer team were chosen by him.
The team comprises two KLegal lawyers, one former Camerons lawyer and three from local Polish firms. The ex-Camerons lawyer, who resigned before she was offered the Haarmanns post, was also known to Windmill.
Windmill has been entrusted with building a client base of non-German-speaking businesses. He recruited Zielinski because of his experience of working with non-Germanic clients.
Zielinski's broad experience spans finance, projects and M&A work. Windmill moved from Camerons to Haarmanns last November, as he had reached the official retirement age for the UK firm. Haarmanns now has 23 lawyers in Poland, including six partners.
