Mayfair firm Forsters has bolstered its tax team with the hire of Halliwells partner Elizabeth Small.
The move comes only weeks after the firm recruited RadcliffesLeBrasseur’s former private client chief Kelly Noel Smith (The Lawyer, 31 August), and brings the number of partners at the firm to 37.
Managing partner Paul Roberts said: “We’ve been looking for some time to recruit a property partner with particular expertise in the property sector and Elizabeth has the experience.”
Halliwells, which recently abandoned merger talks with London firm Manches (The Lawyer, 17 September), has suffered a series of partner exits over the last 12 months.
Recently DWF took on corporate partners Frank Shepherd and James Sheridan and commercial partner Craig Chaplin, who are expected to leave Halliwells to join DWF’s Manchester office in 12 months.
