Former T-Mobile counsel in race equality move

Julia Chain, the former general counsel of T-Mobile and former managing partner of Garretts, has been appointed chair of the legal committee of the Commission for Racial Equality, which is responsible for enforcing the Race Relations Act. Since leaving T-Mobile, Chain has been a consultant at Jomati, the law firm consultancy started by another former Garretts managing partner, Tony Williams. She has now launched The Kite Consultancy, which focuses on assisting in-house departments and advising law firms on client care. Her firm has launched an alliance with recruiters Osprey Clarke and software house Business Integrity.
