Former judge joins third-party funder
Former High Court judge Sir Gavin Lightman has joined third-party funding group Harbour Litigation Funding as chair of the investment committee.
Lightman was appointed a High Court judge in 1994 before standing down in 2008 to resume private practice as a consultant for Indian firm FoxMandal Little. He said: “Third-party funding promotes access to justice. I’m convinced that this form of funding has immense potential and I look forward to working with Harbour.”
