Former Halliwells partner launches insolvency team

JMW has launched a corporate recovery and insolvency department with the recruitment of a former Halliwells partner.

Richard Wolff, who was a corporate recovery partner for five years at Halliwells, will head the new department.

Wolff said: “The JMW brand is an emerging one in the Manchester market. Its an opportunity to lead a department and in the current climate there is no better time to get into this line of work - I would say we’ve got two or three years of recession left.”

JMW is expected to grow the department to reach six people by the end of the year.

“There is already expertise at the firm in this area and there are going to be some appointments in the coming months,” Wolff confirmed.

JMW managing partner Bill Jones said: “These are exciting times at JMW and we are very pleased to be able to develop and expand another significant area of practice to our already excellent commercial offering.”
