Former GTM restructuring head Norley takes non-legal role at Jefferies

Former Greenberg Traurig Maher restructuring head Lyndon Norley has joined Jefferies Group, one of the US’s largest independent banks.

Norley joins the investment bank as a managing director and head of European restructuring and recapitalisation investment banking, and will be based in London.

Norley was a partner at Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft between 2000 and 2002 and then moved to Kirkland & Ellis, where he headed the City-based restructuring department between 2002 and 2009. Most recently he was UK restructuring head at Greenberg Traurig Maher, a post he held between 2010 and June 2011 (30 November 2009).

In a statement, Jefferies’ global head of investment banking and capital markets Benjamin Lorello said: “Our restructuring business is one of the leading franchises on Wall Street and an area of longstanding commitment and focus at Jefferies.

“The hiring of Lyndon Norley significantly enhances our restructuring capability in Europe at a time when we believe an increasing number of European clients will be needing advice and solutions in this area.”
