Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison has scooped one of the best-known litigators in the Washington, DC market as a partner.
Beth Wilkinson, formerly the co-chair of Latham & Watkins’ white collar crime practice group and, until late last year, general counsel of US mortgage finance company Fannie Mae, is expected to begin work in Paul Weiss’ Washington office in early February.
“We are delighted that Beth is joining Paul, Weiss,” said Paul Weiss chair Brad Karp. “She is an extremely talented trial lawyer who will enhance our renowned litigation practice.”
Prior to joining Latham, Wilkinson was a prosecutor at the Department of Justice from 1990 to 1998. While there she served as special attorney to the US attorney general and played a leading role prosecuting Oklahoma City bombers Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols.
