Former EY Law chief Bignon launches consultancy

Former EY Law global head Patrick Bignon is setting up his own legal management consultancy firm.

Bignon is launching Law Management Consulting, which is based in Paris, in response to a need for independent legal experts in Europe.

From 2002 until March 2004 Bignon was the global head of Ernst & Young’s legal network, having been the managing partner of the now-defunct Andersen Legal prior to that.

Bignon said that law firms and in-house legal departments in France are facing new challenges as a result of the Loi sur la Sécurité Financière – the French equivalent of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act – and pressure on costs. The new consultancy will be able to help firms concentrate on strategic and client development.
