Heller Ehrman has hired former DLA Piper Asia head Nick Seddon to lead its four offices in the region as Asian managing partner.
The move comes after Seddon relinquished his role at DLA Piper at the end of 2007 following a management shake out.
Seddon, who will be based in Heller Ehrman's Hong Kong office, will be in charge of the firm's Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore offices.
Heller Ehrman international practice partner Larry Keeshan, commented: "Nick's experience in Asia is extremely valuable to us and we see this hire as an important part of our international strategy. The aim is to focus on connecting the offices we have in the US, UK and Asia across all of our practice groups."
The US firm significantly ramped up its international presence launching its London office in January last year and a Shanghai office in January this year.
