  • Have Pannone done their homework here? I would have thought there was sufficient knowledge across the sector to have recognised that this may not work. The concept is flawed by the overarching trend for legal practice consolidation not collective representation by an umbrella brand. Of course Jabbari is an expert in knowledge management and mergers though so perhaps there is a deeper strategy.

  • Clydes' loss is Pannone's gain. Jabbari is a leading light on legal strategy as evidenced by the path he lead BLG down and the resultant benefits for its partners so this could be the dawn of another Jabbari success story.

  • I am surprised that Ganache thinks that there will be a traditional consolidation of the smaller firms. After RSM Tenon, why would anyone do that or need to do that? There is a lot more sophisticated thinking available here which avoids the need to buy up firms, all of it based on variations of a franchise model.

  • What are the odss on jabba the Cut stripping down C2L to the profitable and sound areas, consolidating weaker competitors and then selling the lot on to a cpital venure?
Nothing wrong in that what so ever and the boy has good form in getting the wins, but whether there's a long term future for C2L is another matter.

  • It looks like the prophecies of the High Street legal market boiling down to four or five brands are beginning to take shape. Who said the LSA would not change the face of law??? The medium-sized firms will be next!

  • "whether there's a long term future for C2L is another matter." I agree. There has been no long term future for BLG.

  • As a fellow librarian I can see that the DJ can really mix it up for C2L / Pannones. Loadsamoney in this venture.

  • Don't blame the DJ for BLG's demise. That's like blaming Mr Iscariot for the advent of christianity.
